How to Join AAL
Astronomy clubs throughout the United States provide advice, instruction, education, access to telescopes, and lots of camaraderie to people who share a love of the night sky. Astronomy Associates of Lawrence is no exception. Below are some of the benefits of membership in AAL.
For the price of $12 ($6 for students) a year, membership dues, you will receive:
A subscription to the Astronomy Associates of Lawrence newsletter, The Celestial Mechanic, which provides information on club activities, hints on stargazing, and other astronomy news.
- Membership in the national organization, The Astronomical League (headquartered in Kansas City), and a subscription to their quarterly magazine, The Reflector.
- Access to telescopes owned by the club through the Loan Program and the 14-inch telescope at the Baker Wetlands Discovery Center.
- Invitations to all AAL events, both public and private.
